picture day at owls crossinG

Hello, owls crossing Families!
My name is Jenni McDonough, I’m a newborn + family photographer and Scituate native. I’m so excited to be able to offer School Photos at OCP again this year. This page will be your go-to spot for information to help you prepare for picture day and access your galleries once they are live.
This page is your dedicated space so you know what to expect and how to view and order your child’s portraits. This will all happen online and a few weeks after you place your order your photos will be delivered to school for you to take home. Scroll down for more important information and FAQs.

picture day at OCP

How it works
School photos with Jenni with an eye photo are different from the old standard school pics. These fine art school photos are all about highlighting your child's unique personality. I take the time to connect with them, bringing out their smiles, laughter, and a range of expressions—from thoughtful to sweet to silly.
Your next steps
Fill out the form at the bottom of this page to pre-register your child for picture day.
After picture day
A link to the gallery will be sent within 3 weeks of picture day.
Your child will have their own album containing the best 4–8 images (each will be in color and black & white).
Choose a package or order a la carte prints and digital downloads. There’s no obligation to buy.

What to wear
I recommend:
Light-colored tops in solid colors or subtle prints. Consider colors that make your child’s eye color pop!
Small hair accessories, like bows, headbands, or barrettes at the side of the head.
Details add visual interest: suspenders, ruffles, a cute little bow-tie… lots of options!
For babies, choose tops that don’t darken when they get wet (slobber is inevitable with the littlest ones)!
Avoid:
Black, navy, and dark gray
Ultrabright and neon colors
Small thin stripes or small checkered prints
This is a great opportunity for kids to express who they are. Help your child pick out clothing that fits their style and is clean, nice, and comfortable. If your daughter hates dresses, let her pick a fun pair of leggings with a neutral top. If your son can't stand wearing button down shirts, help him pick a nice neutral solid shirt instead.
REGISTER FOR PICTURE DAY
We’re excited to offer you the chance to get first access to your child’s school portrait gallery! If you pre-register within the gallery, you’ll be the first to know as soon as it goes live.
By pre-registering, you'll ensure that you can easily view, order, and select your favorite images as soon as they’re available.
